Frequently Asked Questions
How soon will I feel results after spinal decompression treatment?
Many people feel relief during and after their first session! Most patients will begin to feel relief from pain as pressure on the compressed nerve will be relieved as the spine is in the decompressed state. After the initial treatments some may feel some soreness in the back as muscles are stretched that normally are not. This is normal and soreness should dissipate with each treatment.
How long do treatments take?
Typically, DRX sessions are just under 30 minutes. It is recommended to have 20 treatment sessions, however, depending on your condition more may be necessary to reach a pain-free state.
Are DRX treatments always successful?
In published clinical studies nearly 9 out of 10 patients benefit from the DRX9000 machine treatment; in one particular published study conducted by medical doctors associated with the University of California, Stanford, Johns Hopkins and Georgetown, the DRX9000 spinal decompression helped in reducing back pain with a correlating increased disc height. As with any treatment, individual results can vary.
Am I a good candidate for DRX treatment?
If you are above the age of 18 and are suffering from back pain, sciatica or any symptoms due to a herniated disc, bulging disc, degenerative disc or posterior facet syndrome, you may be a candidate.
Dr. Foreit will evaluate your medical history and current condition to determine if this is the best course of treatment for your situation.
What are the criteria that would exclude a patient from being a candidate for DRX treatment?

Prior Lumbar Fusion
Metastatic Cancer

Compression fracture of the lumbar spine below L-1 (recent).
Pars Defect
Pathologic Aortic aneurysm
Pelvic or abdominal cancer
